It gives me immense pleasure to author the book “Management and Entrepreneurship” prescribed for B.E. 5th/6th Semester courses of all branches of Engineering of the
Visvesvaraya Technological University. This subject is of immense value for budding engineers to make them better managers and successful entrepreneurs. I have felt a huge shortage of books and relevant materials on this subject. The books available in the market are mostly written with Western World Perspective and the examples in those books were not relevant to our educational system. This has motivated me to write this book. The first four chapters of the book discuss on the management functions and principles and the last four chapters discuss the entrepreneurship. Adequate number of illustrations have been included in each chapter. In addition, each chapter contains student learning activities to give the readers a chance to enhance the learning process.
