Now couple that notion of empowerment, enabled by a growing suite of Web 2.0 tools, with the cloud—our shorthand for a vast, always- on, accessible, broadband-enabled next-generation Internet that is fast approaching. The cloud holds out transform active possibilities for culture, commerce, national security, public life and personal interactions on a scale we are only beginning to fathom.
